Position #: 122800 Expected Start Date: May 05, 2025 Union: CUPE Facility: Battlefords District Care Centre City/Town: Battleford Department: Plant Operation Type: Casual FTE: 0 Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band 11 $22.600 to $24.210 (3 step range) Travel Required: No Job Description: Performs general maintenance and repairs for facility/plant systems, equipment, grounds and buildings. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - One (1) year experience in a maintenance environment (commercial or industrial) Education - Fireman Boiler Operator certificate Licenses - Valid Class 5 driver's license - Boiler Operator License issued pursuant to Boiler & Pressure Vessels Safety Act Other Education and Training - Pool Operator certificate, where required - Refrigeration Plant Operator certificate, where required. - Refrigeration Engineer certificate, where required by the job Competencies - Communication skills - Basic - Computer skills - Interpersonal skills - Organizational skills Knowledge and Abilities - Knowledge of tools and equipment - Ability to work independently Other Information - No guaranteed hours. Must be Available a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours per 3 week period.
