| Middle Year Teacher (Grade 8 or 9) - MIDDL001030-00010 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: This teaching assignment will include Grade 8 or 9 Saskatchewan Core Curriculum with subject or content areas to include English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts Education, Physical and Health Education, as well as Treaty Education. Experience in upper elementary education, online teaching or online program supervision would be considered an asset. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: - student-centred decision-making; - innovation and creativity to support students achieving learning outcomes in a variety of approaches that fit student needs and interests; - ability to communicate effectively with parents on student educational needs and progress; - strong time management and organizational abilities; - flexibility with the capacity to problem solve; - strengths in collegiality and collaboration; - ability to communicate clear and effective feedback on student progress; - collaboration with colleagues on course development; - knowledge of curriculum outcomes and indicators; - current instruction and assessment practices; and, - commitment to work collaboratively with all staff to carry out the mission and vision of Sask DLC. Experience with technologies such as Clevr, Moodle, MySchoolSask, and online communication software would be considered an asset.
