Job description: Prepare and maintain two lawn bowling greens. Apply water and fertilizer as needed. Maintain sand ditch around greens. Maintain equipment ensuring it is cleaned and in good working order. Ensure all chemicals used on greens are kept securely. Watch inventory level and communicate to the greens committee when oil, gas, sand and any other items need to be replenished. Basic Bowling Greens Management and use of greens specialized equipment. Disposing grass cuttings to city compost. Report to Greens/Grounds committee for greens keeping direction. Skills: WHMIS certification is an asset Outdoor all-weather work requires moderate physically demanding activity. Experience with use of mowers, leaf blowers, and chemicals is an asset. Duties would include greens maintenance, verticutting and rolling the greens, greens restoration, ditch maintenance and other related items. |
