Group Home Worker

The Organization:
Founded in 1955 as the Lutheran Sunset Home of
Saskatoon, LutherCare Communities provides
excellence in care, housing, and community
services within a nurturing Christian environment.    

In Saskatoon, we own and operate group homes
that support physically and cognitively challenged
adults.

The Position:
Duties and Responsibilities of Group Home Workers
include three main areas:
Resident Care: Includes assistance of personal
hygiene (bathing, toileting, dressing, eating
etc.)
Resident Programming: Includes the facilitation
of resident daily living activities and
participation in the community.
Home Maintenance: Includes housekeeping, laundry
and the preparation of meals and snacks

Wage starts at $14.66 per hour.

The Applicants:
Applicants would typically qualify through the
completion of grade 12 with previous experience
working with developmentally challenged adults in
a residential setting.  A Rehabilitation Worker
Certificate/Diploma, Special Care Aide/Home Health
Aide Course is preferred.  Applicants must be
available to work shifts that include days,
evenings, nights, and weekends. Applicants must
possess good interpersonal skills and be able to
interpret, read, write and speak English fluently.
