Job Description: The Human Resource Consultant is accountable to the Manager of Labour Relations in providing labour relations support to managers through activities such as grievance handling, collective bargaining agreement interpretation, policy development and interpretation, consistent application of legislation and regional policies, research and consultation with the goal of promoting effective relationships between employer, employees, and
unions.
Required Qualifications
A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources management or equivalent combination of training and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational, prioritization, facilitation and communication skills
Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Undergraduate Degree in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations or a related field; or a Human Resources post-secondary program; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous Human Resources or Labour Relations experience, preferably in a unionized healthcare environment, would be an asset
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications
