The Saskatoon Housing Authority (SHA) has an opportunity for a full-time Human Resources (HR) Manager to join their team. Reporting to the General Manager, the HR Manager will support SHA management and employees and liaise with union leadership towards a positive and balanced work environment.
You will provide a spectrum of HR consulting and support that includes full cycle recruitment, orientation, training plans, performance coaching and evaluation, offboarding, policy interpretation and development, and you will process pay and benefits. In addition, you will work as part of a team on network wide HR projects, initiatives, and recommendations.
We are looking for applicants with a Business Degree and a major in HR along with 5+ years of HR experience within a unionized environment along with a working knowledge of employment legislation. Alternate combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered. A CPHR designation, or actively working towards the designation, is an asset.
Infrequently, you may be required to work irregular hours based on housing authority needs.
A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment.
