GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting to the Provincial or Site Leader of Supportive Care the Clinical Oncology Social Worker is responsible forproviding psychosocial consultation, clinical assessment, clinical intervention and counseling services to patientsand families. This position actively participates in department education programs and is expected to adopt theinterdisciplinary model, which defines the department and participates in a manner that embraces this model.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Grade 12.
Bachelor degree in Social Work or Indigenous Social Work.
Valid drivers license.
Experience:
Three (3) years supervised counseling experience in the field of Psychosocial Oncology or related
experience
Candidates with two (2) years experience and a Masters Degree in Social Work or Indigenous Social Work may be considered.
Membership:
Membership with Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.
