Sales Associate
The Museum Shop, located inside of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, is seeking to hire a part time sales associate to assist in daily operations of the store.
Major Responsibilities:
- solid retail experience including opening and closing store
- able to process customer purchases quickly and accurately at cash register
- restock shelves and keep store front orderly
- position averages 8 to 15 hours per week
- Saturday availability
- flexibility for weekday shifts Monday through Friday
- excellent customer service skills in busy location
- Assist customers with locating suitable products.
- Handle a variety of payment processes accurately.
- Daily cash procedure at the end of each shift.
- Respond to customer problems with a focus of conflict resolution.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:
-minimum 3 years of experience in a retail setting.
-Demonstrate communication and organizational skills to multi-task.
-High quality customer service skills in dealing with the public and co-workers.
-Proficient in Point-of-Sale terminals
-Experience in handling payments with accuracy and attention to detail.
-Demonstrate ability to adapt in a fast paced environment with frequent priority changes.
-Demonstrate maturity and professionalism in responding to staff and customer issues, complaints, and assertive behavior.
-Team oriented style with a "can do" service focus.
-Available to work both during the week and weekends.
- No nighttime shifts.
