In this exciting position, you will:
-Lead and supervise public health nursing program and policy development collaboratively, ensuring integrated public health and community-based services.
-Manage and mentor a team of public health nursing consultants.
Chair provincial committees and represent Saskatchewan on national committees.
-Drive strategic planning, priority setting, and policy development on public health nursing issues.
-Collaborate in providing critical input to the provincial vaccine budget.
-Analyze policy and develop proposals addressing significant population and public health challenges.
-Provide expert advice and administrative oversight on projects including Panorama, immunization programs, maternal and child health, women's health, and adult health.
-Advocate for public health nursing perspectives in population health promotion and primary healthcare initiatives.
-Represent the Ministry of Health in inter-agency collaborations.
Typically, the qualifications for this role include:
-A Bachelors degree in Nursing with credits in Public Health Nursing.
-A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in public health nursing with extensive Panorama experience, ideally including supervisory experience.
-Eligibility for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
