**JOB IS LOCATED AT A REMOTE EXPLORATION CAMP, in Northern Saskatchewan. TO START ASAP.
**WE COVER YOUR TRAVEL (Flight or shuttle service, OUT OF SASKATOON), MEALS, & ACCOMMODATIONS when at site!
**SHIFT WORK IS REQUIRED; WORK SCHEDULES ARE 2-WEEK IN-AND-OUT ROTATIONS.
**MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG & ALCOHOL TEST.
As the 2nd Cook, you will report to the Chef and shall prepare sufficient meals, including batch cooking for daily operations (based on site numbers). You will work with the chef to ensure company standards are met. Duties include:
- Determine the amounts of proteins to pull from freezer.
- Provide meat caring service on the line during busy times.
- Ensure all foods are ready and cook for mealtimes.
- Maintain a clean & safe kitchen according to standards.
- Ensure 3rd cook is notified of food to save; inform Chef on what's to be discarded.
- Assign & direct activities, per Chefs directives.
- Set up front line for meals.
- Conduct all duties in a safe manner; report all incidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience is essential.
- Ability to bake (Pies, Breads, Rolls, Squares, cookies etc.).
- Possession of Food Safe Certification is a strong asset.
- Experience with kitchen management in the service industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of Vegan, Halal & Gluten allergy variation cooking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to perform duties in a safe & efficient manner.
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties.
- Valid Driver's license preferred.
- Customer relation skills.
