The Public Guardian and Trustee is seeking a confident, ethical, and well-organized individual for an Assistant Trust Officer position in the Adult Services unit. The Adult Services unit manages financial affairs for adults where no one else has been appointed.
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining client files, preparing a diverse variety of correspondence and legal documents, making inquiries to locate and secure assets of clients such as real property and bank accounts; locating and speaking to family members and community support, as well as making applications for appropriate health, social and pension benefits.
Our candidate of choice will have knowledge of office and filing procedures, the knowledge and ability to prepare and compose correspondence using clear and concise language, and the ability and knowledge to prepare legal documents.
You must be able to reference, interpret and apply regulations and policies as required and understand the Certificate of Incapacity process.
We are looking for a candidate that can work independently but also as a team player, and who will treat clients and coworkers with dignity and respect. You will also exhibit leadership and professionalism and be responsible and accountable.
