Description

The Post Secondary Program Coordinator will provide direct support to the post secondary student regarding counselling related services to navigating the financial, curriculum, and administrative details required to attend the chosen Institute. The Post Secondary Program Coordinator will also act as a liaison and support person with to the Institute on behalf of the student, when requested. The end goal of a post secondary pursuit is to build individual qualifications and skills needed to pursue individual careers that will contribute to the achievement if Indian self-government and economic self-reliance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
?    Strong verbal and advanced written skills.
?    Efficient interpersonal skills.
?    Reliable, flexibility, and initiative.
?    Strong Office organization skills.
?    Familiarity with Post Secondary Institutes and the processes of enrollment.
?    Computer knowledge and experience with office programs and office equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONCIBILITIES
?    Support the registration by assisting with compiling information on courses, schedules and requirements for admission and graduation.
?    Evaluate the registration activities and academic records system of a college or university.
?    Plan and organize the funding process follows established MFN Post Secondary Education Policy.
?    Plan, administer and control budgets.
?    Recommend curriculum revisions and additions and advise scheduling of courses.
?    Provide student support to MFN members will include:
o    Academic Counselling.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
?    College/CEGEP, Business, Office management and Supervision with 1- 2 years
?    Understanding of the Government of Canada, Province of Saskatchewan, Assembly of First Nations, Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, and Saskatoon Tribal Council in relation to this position.
OTHER CONDITIONS
?    Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:00am ? 12:00pm /1:00pm - 4:30pm
?    Highly confidential office environment.
