MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Working as part of a collaborative team:
Provide respectful and compassionate counseling and support services to women accessing services
Conduct intakes and assessment of client assets and needs
Case coordination and client advocacy
Provide daily care and support
Intensive case management
Conduct intakes and discharge plans
De-escalate, manage crisis and volatile situations
Maintain ethical record keeping, documentation and timely reporting
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all residents
Liaise with other professionals working with the residents treatment plan and provide referrals as necessary
Work collaboratively as a team and with other program areas in CS&R
Provide transportation as necessary
Outreach and After Care support
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Social Work an equivalent combined experience and education may be considered
Registered Social Worker designation preferred
Experience working with acute mental health, addictions, and harm reduction strategies
Knowledge of mental health diagnosis, symptoms and relevant medications and treatment plan options
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Able to work independently but also contribute as part of a strong collaborative team;
A broad knowledge and experience in working with Indigenous communities is an asset;
An understanding of, and commitmentto, the philosophies of YWCA Saskatoon; and Trauma Informed Care
First Aid and CPR certification
MHFA and ASIST certifications
PART Training and Motivational Interviewing an asset
Criminal record clearance and vulnerable sector check
This position requires the use of a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license with passenger liability insurance over $2,000,000.
