Description

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President of Accounting & Administration provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across finance, budgeting, accounting, IT, administration, and tax functions for the organization and its affiliates.

Reporting to the President, this role empowers teams, drives process improvements, and ensures responsible governance. The VP fosters a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement while delivering financial insights aligned with the companys core values: integrity, community, partnership, and creating opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

Shaping and executing strategy alongside the Senior Management Team.

Leading a high-performing team across finance, IT, and admin functions.

Delivering financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.

Managing cash flow, working capital, profit-sharing, and executive/sales incentives.

Leading financial due diligence for M&A opportunities.

Driving operational efficiencies and overseeing IT operations and compliance.

Supporting audit and tax filings (e.g., GST, PST).

Traveling ~25% to branches and the Calgary head office.

Qualifications:

CPA designation and a university degree.

15+ years of accounting experience; 10+ years in leadership.

Experience in growth environments and commission-based structures (preferred).

Proficient in MS Office, Power BI, and data analytics.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
