Emerald Park Home Hardware is looking to grow our team and has an immediate opening.
POSITION: Delivery Truck Driver, FT Permanent, Monday-Friday
LOCATION: Emerald Park, SK
Home Hardware is looking for an outgoing, self-motivated and dedicated Delivery Truck Driver.
This position requires the delivery of lumber and building materials to customers in a professional, safe, and timely manner. It includes loading and unloading of trucks in a busy retail lumberyard environment which includes heavy and repetitive lifting on a regular basis.
Position Responsibilities:
    -Prepare customer orders, picking products, securing on the skid and banding and wrapping according to the weather and loading conditions.
    -Prepare vehicles for delivery. Verify that all products are securely loaded and protected from the elements and that all accompanying paperwork is available.
    -Operate vehicles to transport material to private homes and construction sites. Park vehicles in designated areas and obtain proper signatures once unloaded.  
    -Follow safe operating procedures. Advise supervisor of potential hazards. Accountable for working safely and ensuring that all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety policies and legislation.
    -Maintain professional composure at all time.

Requirements:
    -1-2 or more years experience operating heavy equipment and/or large trucks.
    -Clean drivers abstract.
    -Must have air endorsement.
    -Preference given to applicants holding a valid class 1a license.
    -Ability to lift and move large quantities of building materials.
    -Sound judgement and communications skills.
    -Must have good knowledge of the layout of the city and surrounding areas.
    -Excellent time management skills.
    -Capacity to work independently and seek out assistance as required.
    -Knowledge of lumber and building materials is an asset.
