Description

Chinook Regional Library requires a part-time (6 hours per week) energetic Custodian and a Backup Courier Driver. The Custodian will be responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition, and will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, dusting, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, vacuuming carpets and air scrubbers. Duties may include tending to the 2 furnaces plus air conditioning system, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, mowing the boulevards, weed control and may include cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.

As back up courier driver, you must be available to cover call-ins for sick time and vacation for the Monday and Friday in town drop off and rural courier runs.  The average day is 7.5 to 8 hours long and starts between 8 and 9:00 a.m. Must have a valid drivers license and supply a driver's abstract.

Custodian standard work week will be:

o    Tuesdays     4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
o    Fridays     4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Courier: Call in as required

SALARY:
-    $17.00 to $19.25 per hour (2025 rates)

START DATE:    May 13, 2025 @ 4:00 p.m.
