Job Description: The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Consultant Senior is responsible for planning, development, organization and delivery of ASD services within the framework of the interdisciplinary team. The ASD consultant provides coaching, mentoring and guidance to staff, ASD Support Workers, Educational Staff and Community Partners.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience
- Two years experience working with children with ASD
Education
- Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder and treatment
- Master of Psychology is acceptable
- Master of Occupational Therapy is acceptable
- Current CPR certification
Competencies
- Organizational skills
- Demonstrates leadership skills
- Communication skills
- Supervisory skills
Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge in research process and methodology
- Knowledge of the role of community supports for the child/adolescent and family
- Demonstrated ability to implement change and evaluate program practice/direction
- Demonstrates ability to apply research and theory to practice
- Excellent public relations skills
- Ability to effectively counsel and work with individuals, families and groups
