The service advisor will work with the service team to ensure positive customer service and sales outcomes for the department while working under the service manager.
Responsible for being the primary point of contact between customers who bring their vehicles into the service department and the technicians who provide services to the vehicle, the service advisor is the face of the department.
Daily functions entail communicating with customers to determine issues, conveying customer concerns to technicians, submitting work orders, ordering needed parts, estimating costs, relaying information between the technician and customer, providing customer with accurate repair descriptions, securing job authorization for the completion of work, and collecting payment after repairs are completed.
This position requires a high- level of customer and employee interaction, so the ideal candidate will not only have strong listening and communication skills but enjoy dealing with public, have a mechanical aptitude, the ability to embrace technology and demonstrate resilience and a dedication to ongoing learning.
