Main Function of this Position: Maintain financial records, prepare financial statements, and provide accounting support for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties.

Duties:
Approve invoices, print cheques, and prepare electronic payments.
Produce financial statements using accounting software.
Prepare and post journal entries to general ledger accounts.
Collect monthly rent revenue from properties.
Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews or year-end audits.
Complete bank reconciliations and manage cash levels.
Perform other reconciliations as required.
Respond to inquiries from Property Managers, owners, vendors, and boards.
Participate in the development of and support ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Other accounting and administrative duties as required.

Requirements:
Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in Canada.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Experience with Yardi software is considered an asset.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
