The Shipping/Receiving Technicians primary responsibilities include:
- Prepare items for shipping including:
* Proper packaging and labeling, and
* All required documentation (i.e. SAP, Customs, Dangerous Goods, etc);
- Trace both inbound and outbound shipments with carriers;
- Receive parts including
* Initial condition assessment and compliance checks, and
* All required documentation and labels;
- Manage hazardous materials including storage, disposal and reporting in accordance with applicable regulations;
- Respond to emergencies and spills involving hazardous materials;
- Maintain repair and manufacture shipping containers;
- Identify and segregate an non-conforming items.
Logistics general responsibilities include the following:
- Operate mobile handing equipment;
- Maintain tools and equipment required to perform duties;
- Perform deliveries as required;
- Carry out workplace inspections and clean ups;
- Assist in the performance of other stores functions when required;
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
Education
- High School Diploma
- Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License
Experience
- Recent or relevant shipping experience preferred.
Considered an asset
- Computer literate in SAP, Outlook and MS Office
- Experience working with aircraft parts either in a military or civilian industry
- Able to operate a forklift, small delivery vehicle and other logistics support equipment
- Trained in the shipping and transportation of dangerous goods
- Previous experience using Inventory Management Software applications desirable.
