Description

The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, Logistics and Transportation Section is seeking a Driver Mechanic to work out of the Transportation Unit in Prince Albert.

Under the general direction of the Transportation Coordinator, you will be required to operate a variety of trucks and industrial yard equipment and perform physical labor including heavy lifting.
You will provide maintenance and repair services to Agency owned heavy equipment. This includes mechanical diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, coordination and costing of projects to be carried out in the shop and in the field. You will have the ability to accurately diagnose problems and provide a workable solution. You will have working knowledge of various equipment.

You will have knowledge of safety standards, and trades codes and regulations, as well as the ability to maintain records and logs of operations, repairs and materials.

You will be required to work extended hours, weekends and travel to remote locations. You may be required to work up to 12 consecutive days and be temporarily assigned to other locations across the province.

To qualify for this position you must hold a valid Class 1A license.
