Assist in planning and implementation of summer programs, including mentoring youth, facilitating programs, providing transportation, and fundraising as designated. Also, assist with some long-term planning for ongoing/mentoring programs.
Qualifications: You must be 16 years of age or older and currently a full-time student. You must also attend secondary or post-secondary education in the fall of 2024, preferably in the human sciences, education, or health and fitness.
Knowledge and Required Skills:
Interact in a positive, supportive manner with youth
Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Good computer skills required
Be available to work some weekends and flexible hours
Be able to follow direction
Have the ability to work in an unsupervised setting
Highly motivated and energetic
Valid Driver's license and good driving abstract
1st Aid and CPR training an asset.
This position is an 8 to 12-week position dependent on funding through Canada Summer Jobs.
Training will be provided, including child Safety Training and Facilitation Training.
