Reporting directly to the Building Manager, this position performs routine and preventative maintenance and repair procedures on community clinic buildings and Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre, in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
Related Trade, Building, or Facility Maintenance Certificate is an asset, at least three years of related experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety standards. Relevant training and experience required.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools i.e.: drills, skill saw, zip grinder, grass whip
Must possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license
Must provide a successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector
Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
Additional Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the organization (strategic priories, values, goals, services, and programs), health care and First Nations culture
Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), and technological platforms such as Microsoft Teams, with a general aptitude for expanding use of software applications to enhance efficiencies.
Abilities and behaviors associated with the core competencies with an emphasis upon planning and organizing, analytical and problem solving, interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork, and leadership and learning.
A general understanding and knowledge of all general facilities trades such as plumbing, electricians, construction.
