Description

Reporting directly to the Building Manager. The Sweetgrass Health Clinic Janitor will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitary and safe environment of all Sweetgrass Health Clinic.
The Janitor will participate as a team member of the finance and operations department who are responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective administrative support system for the operations of Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre.
The Sweetgrass Health Clinic Janitor will follow established procedures regarding personal safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), etc.. Home Base: Sweetgrass First Nation
20 Hour Work Week - (2:00 pm - 6:00 pm)

Competencies and Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 or an acceptable equivalent
Minimum 2 years janitorial and light maintenance experience
Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License
Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
Proficiency in the use of carpet cleaner, vacuum cleaner, stripping/floor waxing equipment, tools
Must provide a successful current criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
High degree of confidentiality is essential; must have the ability to adhere to confidentiality guidelines.
Must have a reliable method of transportation to and from work.
Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
