Description

The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) - Land Operations is seeing a results-oriented, dynamic and motivated individual for the position of Provincial Response Coordinator for the Provincial Coordination Center based in Prince Albert.

Reporting to the Director of the Provincial Response Center, you will part of a team responsible for performing duties related to daily preparedness planning, coordination of resource imports and exports, administration of cost recovery incidents, management of the large incident program, administration of the aerial ignition program, create/review applicable policy and operational procedures and research new technologies for use in the unit.  Development and maintenance of standing offers, contracts, pilot briefing packages, short term aviation contracts, flight authorizations and NOTAM's. The incumbent will learn the operational use of the Saskatchewan Dispatch program including quality control and data management. You will work closely with Response Centre Duty Officers, Air Operations, Logistics & Transportation and provincial dispatch staff.

The knowledge and skills required for this position would typically be developed through the successful completion of a diploma in Forest Ecosystem Technology or Integrated Resource Management with several years of related experience in wildfire suppression/management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
