Description

The Small Business Advisor has expertise in credit analysis, financial advice, portfolio management and relationship management to contribute to the success of our members and the growth of our credit union.

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong ability to provide knowledgeable and timely advice, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service by effectively utilizing our products, services, and omni channels to meet our members needs. The key responsibilities for this role include:

Foster strong relationships with small and medium size business and agriculture members, providing ongoing financial guidance and support
Work closely in a collaborative team environment with all staff to meet members' financial needs (known and unknown)
Provide and cross-sell high quality financial products and services through proactive contact with the intent of increasing member wallet share
Analyze loan applications for data integrity, potential fraud, and creditworthiness
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all credit union products and services as well as relevant policies and legislation, regularly reviewing literature and attend product update meetings and seminars/webinars
Utilize digital solutions to create efficiencies, simplify members banking needs, and enhance the member experience.
Must have the ability to travel to and cover regionally as required.
Innovations Travel Practice Guidelines will be followed.
Qualifications:

Completion of some post-secondary education (such as finance, business management, agribusiness, or a related field) and/or completion of related specialized lending courses.
4+ years of relevant experience in relationship banking with knowledge and experience in small business lending, credit analysis, and loan underwriting
Proven business development, attention to detail, sales, and service skills
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development
