The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Assessing client employability;
Assessing client needs and barriers to employment;
Assessing steps to reduce or remove client employment barriers;
Ability to develop a client Action Plan that assist a client to become employed;
Coordinate case management supports and services;
Referral of clients to programs and services for meeting training, employment supports or mental/addiction and job transition supports;
Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Diploma in social sciences;
One-year experience in counselling First Nations members;
Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to speak Cree and knowledge of the Woodland Cree culture is an asset.
Must have a valid drivers license and own a reliable vehicle;
Must be able to provide a satisfactory; Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract.
