Description

We are hiring for summer positions at the BGC Yorkton! Join the team to make a difference in the lives of children & youth in the community! Spend the summer being a positive influence on young people; working hard to keep children & youth active, busy, & engaged in recreation-based activities! To meet funding requirements priority will be given to youth ages 15 through 30. A Summer Program Leader will work with Middle Years children and youth ages 5 through 12.  They will be responsible for planning, delivering, and implementing quality program activities. We have two different terms for full-time positions: May 21st, 2025, through August 25th, 2025, or June 27th, 2025, through August 25th, 2025. Employment duties include managing safety protocols and procedures, providing creative programming, leading activities, tracking participant information and attendance, providing feedback, fostering the needs & development of children, and acting as a positive, responsible role model to those we serve. A Summer Program Leader will have contact with children & youth, parents/guardians, co-workers, community partners, and volunteers.  They will interact with partner organizations, other agencies, media, and the community at large.  The individual must possess strong communication skills, and leadership skills and be an active member of our team.

Program shifts vary between 7:45 am and 5:15 pm Mondays through Fridays.

Hours will be 35 hours per week.
