Description

The Ministry of Highways, Fleet Services, is seeking a Journeyperson Supervisor for the Prince Albert Repair Depot.

Under the general direction of the Shop Manager, you will provide customer repair services for Fleet Service clients as well as for Fleet Services including supervising and assisting the mechanics; working closely with the District Operations Managers, crew supervisors, operators, and field mechanics; and performing mechanical and welding repairs to all types of trucks, highway construction and maintenance equipment with services performed in the shop and field.

You will plan work schedules and provide coordination with stores to ensure parts are available. You will be required to complete work orders, opening and/or closing them. The successful candidate will also ensure work order bills and work descriptions are accurate in order to create a useful unit repair history.

To qualify for this position, you will possess:
- a valid journeyperson certificate in heavy equipment, truck and transport or agricultural mechanics recognized by the Province of Saskatchewan.
- a valid Class 5 Operator's license with the ability to upgrade to 3A within the probationary period.
