Responsibilities
Operating passenger vehicles safely and cautiously, according to SIGA's established transportation policies, procedures, and routes. Ensuring passenger safety and comfort by monitoring vehicle condition, and assisting guests in safely boarding and disembarking. Keeping accurate records as directed. Greeting guests on arrival, and thanking them on departure, in a warm and welcoming manner. Responding to general inquiries and requests for information. Participating in other activities as required, in support of Guest Services priorities.
Qualifications
A High School diploma or GED is preferred or equivalent training and/or experience in Transportation, Hospitality, or Guest Services. Must be able to provide current driver's abstract with no more than three major offences within the past three years. Three years of previous bus/van/shuttle driving experience is preferred. Training in First Aid/CPR, defensive driving, basic auto mechanics, and customer service is a definite asset. This position requires a current Saskatchewan Class 4 license. Good knowledge of using a radio and other communication devices. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
