The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Responsible for the intake of social assistance clients and issuing of cheques and purchase orders to the band membership
Conduct interviews, home visits, filing, maintaining proper records
Interpret Social Development Policy and regulations to clients for their understanding of the purposes, services, procedures and requirements of the program
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum 1-year certificate in Social Services or related field
One to two years experience and/or training in Social Services
Experience working with databases, Microsoft Office Word, and Outlook
Ability to deal with the public, excellent communications and organizational skills
Ability to speak Cree is an asset
Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
Must have a reliable vehicle and valid Class 5 Drivers License
Must be able to provide a satisfactory; Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Drivers Abstract
