Profile Description: In accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the Saskatchewan Health Region and the Region's Mental Health and Addictions services, reporting to the Director of Community Health Services, the Autism Spectrum Disorders Consultant will work with children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or suspected ASD up to age 19 years. The incumbent shall function within the Framework and Action Plan for Autism Spectrum Disorders Services in Saskatchewan

Experience:
-Two years exp. working with children with ASD and abnormal/normal childhood development.

Qualifications:
-Masters Degree in a recognized human services field (Psychology preferred, Speech-Language, Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or other human services fields may be considered)
-Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder and treatment, normal and abnormal child development, and Applied Behavioral Analysis
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated assessment skills, appropriate to the profession.
- A demonstrated ability to meet and work with clients, utilizing sound judgment, tact, initiative and high standards of integrity and responsibility
- Ability and willingness to travel and work flexible hours including evenings/weekend as required
- Ability to apply the principles of community development
