Description

Our Organization the Prince Albert Indian & Metis Friendship Centre, MLCN Urban Services Inc. & its Partners are looking for a Cultural & Ceremonial Coordinator that will coordinate, inspire, and promote the personal development of Youth & Families with Cultural Relevant programing at the Urban Ceremonial & Cultural Grounds based out at Little Red River Park SK. The CCC will promote Cultural Relevant Values with Schools, Clients & Community, in the hopes of advocating for mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical wellness. Programming and Services by the CCC will facilitate kinship values, traditional laws & protocols, traditional sharing circles, ceremonial outings, outdoor therapy, and culturally based activities for youth, families, and community members to attend regularly within programs.
The CCC will assist clients by providing traditional holistic mental health support during these excursions to help with the effects of Intergenerational Traumas, and to help guide them in the right direction in their journey. The goal is to support clients in a Holistic aspect, Traditional Knowledge, Culture, Mental Health & wellbeing for youth & families to move forward in life and continue their pathway to sobriety.
The CCC must work effectively in a team setting which includes PAIMFC Youth Services, Elders, parents/caregivers, and knowledge keepers involved in the lives of the urban youth & families.
The CCC will be required to maintain confidential material, information, and assessments, and shall conduct themselves in a highly professional manner. The potential applicant must adhere to the appropriate guidelines regarding confidentiality as per PAIMFC policies, procedures, guidelines, Traditional Laws & Protocols.
