North West Friendship Centre is seeking dynamic motivated individuals to fill the position of Emergency Receiving Home Team Leader.
Must be able to do shift work, ability to work independently as well as a team player. Must have the ability and experience with staff management and proven leadership.
Good oral and written communication, interpersonal relations skills.
Knowledge of childhood growth, development, behavior and community resources.
Ability to interact positively with children emotional, recreational, social and culture basis.
Reliable and responsible to provide safe and helpful environment.
Ability to communicate and deal with emergency situations.
Provide a positive, safe and structured environment.
Maintain daily reporting requirements and requirements and ensure adherence to the NWFC and Residents Operation and Program Manual.
Ensure the 24-hour homes, buildings and vehicles are maintained to code outlined in the policies, procedures and manuals.
Requirements:
Early childhood education/youth worker certificate and/or Grade 12 diploma with three years child/youth care experience in the basic human services field.
First Aid, CPR, ASSIST, and Food Handling Certificates.
Crisis intervention and leadership training.
Knowledge of holistic health and wellness programs, childhood growth, development, behavior, and community resources.
Valid driver's license.
