HDCSs Summer Program aims to create opportunities for children and youth of all abilities to participate in community programs, events, and activities throughout July and August. In this position, you will gain valuable hands-on experience working with children and youth in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan, lead, and actively engage in camp-wide activities tailored to participants of different ages and abilities.
-Collaborate with fellow program leaders to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
-Foster meaningful connections with participants by demonstrating compassion, empathy, and understanding.
-Maintain open communication with parents by providing feedback and updates.
This role is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork, and mentorship skills while making a positive impact in the community.
Required Skills
-First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
-Responsible, organized, caring, patient, and enthusiastic.
-Enjoy working with children and youth, have an understanding of differences and firm belief in inclusion
-Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
-A clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
