Description

The Summer Student Mill Labourer plays a key support role within the feed mill team assisting in ingredient handling, sampling, cleaning and operational support.  This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities
- receive & unload bulk ingredients
assist in loading feed trucks
- housekeeping: follow cleaning schedule,
- maintenance: monitor mill for leaks, dust accumulation or other concerns
- track inventories
- collect samples from incoming grain trucks
- test samples for moisture, bushel weight and vomi toxin
- perform particle size testing & record results
- maintain paperwork of all testing
- perform other duties assigned by the Mill Management

Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- agricultural experience an asset but not needed
