Description

Green Acres Tech Inc. is a respected independent agricultural consulting company that has been in business more than 20 years. We are currently seeking a full-time consulting agrologist to join our team.  This is an opportunity to grow as independent consulting agrologist in a supportive sales-free environment.

You will work with clients to manage the agronomic side of their operations:
Soil sampling and interpreting soil test results.
EC and RTK Mapping, Zone creation and Zone Soil Sampling.
Analysis of client data, field history, soil test results, field crop checking data, weather and moisture data to create rotation, fertility, seeding rate, in-season fertility and crop protection recommendations for the upcoming crop year.
Implementing plans with clear communication, prescriptions, and regular client contact during seeding and crop development.
Ensuring the plan is on track during the growing season by conducting field visits to tissue test, evaluate plant health, and to assess weed, disease and insect problems.
Communication of any In-season recommendations in a clear and timely manner.
Conduct end of season meetings to discuss farm yields, successes, which practices worked, which practices need improvement and discuss next years cropping plan and agronomic goals.
Qualifications
A degree or diploma in agriculture or related discipline.
Eligibility for registration with SIA (PAg or AAg).
A valid class 5 drivers license.
A precise attention to detail.
Working knowledge of soil and plant science and crop production.
Organizational and people skills that allow you to work alone yet interact with famers, farm employees and other agricultural professionals.
Ability to work with digital tools and software to accomplish tasks.
An open mind for new ideas and technologies.
An aptitude and enthusiasm for the role of an independent consulting agrologist.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
