Key Responsibilities:
Providing Emergency Assistance to LLRIB Band members
Recommend improvements of Emergency Assistance policies and procedures
Providing counselling and support to Band members that are experiencing family difficulties due to emergency health-related challenges and/or dealing with a death in the family
Responsible for monitoring of the Adult Care Service Providers and clients in the Assisted Living Program in the Urban Centres
Liaising with other LLRIB departments and other agencies
Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports to the Director and Chief and Council
Maintain positive public relations on behalf of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band
Other duties include, but not limited to, conducting interviews with clients/applicants, home visits, issuing purchase orders and cheques, approving and denying requests (within policy), filing and maintaining proper records
Requirements:
Minimum Post-Secondary Diploma
Minimum 2 years experience in providing counselling for distressed individuals
Excellent computer skills
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Valid Drivers license and reliable vehicle
Ability to Speak Woodland Cree
