Description

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Grain Farm/plant worker to join our team. This role involves handling, processing, and storing grain, as well as maintaining and ensuring safety procedures are followed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, in outdoor conditions, and in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:
Load and unload grain trucks and railcars
Operate grain-handling equipment, including conveyors, augers, dryers, and elevators
Perform quality control checks, including sampling and testing grain for moisture, foreign material and other specifications
Monitor and maintain grain storage conditions to prevent spoilage or contamination
Assist with facility maintenance, repairs, and general housekeeping to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Follow all safety and regulatory guidelines, including proper PPE use and lockout/tagout procedures
Comfortable with heights and working on elevated structures
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
Class 1A an asset
Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and overtime, during peak seasons
Indoor and outdoor work in all weather
Exposure to dust, grain and loud machinery
