Description

The Bethune Childcare Centre is opening a brand new 44 space government licensed Childcare Centre plus a Before and After School Program. BCC is looking for full time Early Childhood Educators to join our team in early Summer 2025. Were looking for passionate individuals to support the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Youll work closely with the Director and other team members to provide a play-based learning environment and developmentally appropriate programming following the Bethune Childcare Centres policies and philosophy's.  

Responsibilities:  
Ensure the well-being and safety of children enrolled in the centre  
Implement inclusive practices and programming to ensure all children participate in the childcare program  
Plan and implement programming appropriate to the developmental level of children which embraces the vision and principles of Play Exploration: Early Learning and Program Guide  
Assist children with all necessary care routines (e.g. eating, diapering, toileting, hygiene, etc.)  
Communicate and collaborate with families, team members, centre Director, and the community to support high quality childcare
To deliver early learning and childcare services in alignment with the centres philosophy  
Daily cleaning duties
To follow centres operational policies and procedures as specified in the Staff and Parent Handbooks  

Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education Certification Level l, ll, or lll, as determined by the Ministry of Education. (or equivalent post-secondary education). Or currently enrolled in an ECE program or willing to enroll in the program
Experience in an early learning environment  
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience supporting the needs of all children in an inclusive environment  
Possession of or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid  
A criminal record check
