Description

The Forest Service Branch within the Ministry of Environment is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and innovative Administrative Assistant. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who enjoys a wide variety of responsibilities.

As part of the administrative team within the Forest Service branch, you will coordinate administrative services to support Forest Service branch units.

- Have knowledge of office administrative procedures and protocols;
- Have knowledge and experience utilizing computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams;
- Have the ability to communicate diplomatically with a variety of stakeholders in both written and verbal forms, providing quick and accurate responses to their inquiries;      
- Be self-motivated to solve problems and accomplish tasks using innovative methods with little or no supervision;
- Be committed to workplace health and safety to maintain a healthy, productive, respectful, and safe work environment; and
- Be committed to the Government of Saskatchewans Commitment to Excellence.

Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be obtained through the successful completion of an office administration program and/or several years experience in administrative support roles.
