The Town of Nipawin is now accepting resumes for one(1) Public Works Seasonal Employee and one(1) Utilities Seasonal Employee
The successful candidate must have a current Class 5 Drivers License, wearing "CSA Approved" footwear at all times is a condition of employment and will be the responsibility of the employee to purchase and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Employment is from April 28,2025 - approximately October 31, 2025
Wages and benefits will be paid according to the CUPE Local 777-01 Agreement.
Duties include:
1. Flow testing hydrants to determine flow rates
2. Aggressive flush (unidirectional flushing)
3. Raise, operate, repair, and complete service cards on curb stop assemblies
4. Assist with regular utility department maintenance repairs on sewer and water infrastructure.
5. Data entry and record keeping for water tests.
6. Crack Sealing Asphalt
7. Line and Curb Painting
8. Assist with concrete installation
9. Perform general labourer work including digging, lifting, carrying, painting, carpentry, building maintenance as well as other duties as assigned
