The primary responsibility is to assist the Summer Play Coordinator in planning, leading, instructing, and evaluate diverse and inclusive sport, culture and recreation activities for children. Specifically, 5- 10 years of age.
Duties:
Supervise Summer Play activities at the White City Community Centre, ensuring the care, safety, and security of both employees and participants.
Plan, lead, instruct, and evaluate a variety of diverse and inclusive sports, cultural, and recreational activities for children, specifically ages 5-10.
Assist the Program Coordinator in maintaining accurate records, including incident reports, participant medical information, and code of conduct warnings.
Implement appropriate behavior management strategies while supervising participants.
Collaborate with program partners and volunteers to ensure smooth program delivery.
Partner with the White City Library to facilitate and support the Summer Reading Program on Fridays.
Ensure compliance with all Town of White City policies and procedures.
Work closely with the Program Coordinator and fellow Program Leader to plan, lead, instruct, and evaluate the program.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
