The primary responsibility is to plan, lead, instruct, and evaluate diverse and inclusive sport, culture and recreation activities for children. Specifically, 5- 10 years of age.
Duties:
Supervise Summer Play activities at the White City Community Centre, ensuring the safety, care, and well-being of both employees and participants.
Plan, lead, instruct, and evaluate a variety of diverse and inclusive sports, cultural, and recreational activities for children, specifically ages 5 to 10.
Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers as needed regarding participant progress or concerns.
Maintain an accurate logbook, including incident reports, participant medical information, and any code of conduct warnings.
Apply appropriate behavior management techniques while supervising participants.
Collaborate with program partners and volunteers to ensure the smooth delivery of activities.
Work closely with the White City Library to support the administration of the Summer Reading Program on Fridays.
Ensure compliance with all Town of White City policies and procedures.
Cooperate with the other Program Coordinator to plan, lead, instruct, and evaluate the program effectively.
Prepare and submit program evaluation reports to the Manager of Parks, Recreation, and Culture.
Assist the Program and Event Coordinator in planning, organizing, and executing other town programming and events, contributing ideas, support, and collaboration to ensure the success of community initiatives and activities.
