Reporting to SaskTels Human Resources Director, this unique and exciting opportunity is part of a small dynamic team providing a wide range of occupational health services to SaskTel employees. The Occupational Health Specialist requires knowledge, skills and experience directly related to the health sector to assist the Health Services team in delivering and supporting health and wellness programs for SaskTels workforce. Preference will be given to applicants in the nursing field and/or experienced in the areas of disability management, fitness to work assessments, hazardous exposure tracking, audiology, accommodation support, and health education. In addition, the Occupational Health Specialist will provide management with support in the duty to accommodate and attendance management related to sick leave. Periodic travel is required throughout the province. This is a Part time position (2 days per week).
The Successful Candidates Will Possess:
1. A current member of the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association or professional association related to health, rehab and disability management.
2. Extensive experience in primary health care and/or disability management.
3. Demonstrated initiative and dedication to the principles of a healthy and safe workplace and environment.
4. Current CPR certificate.
5. Experience in preparing and delivering effective presentations.
