This position is for an outgoing, friendly, compassionate person who will be the first contact that the community interacts with upon entering the church. This person will be knowledgeable in all aspects of office etiquette including confidentiality, respect, and to be efficient with office procedures.
The secretary will also be able to accomplish the following under the direction and supervision of the Church Ministry and Personnel Committee
Work closely with the Minister
Create, copy, assemble, documents and reports as required.
Communicate effectively and efficiently phone, email and in person inquiries.
Maintain inventory of church supplies and equipment. Order when appropriate.
Maintain mailing and contact lists,
Coordinate and be the contact for church rentals.
Assists with accounts payable and receivable.
Assist with the recording and maintenance of the financial ledger.
Assists with payroll, T4s, income tax, CPP and EI deductions
Maintain historical rolls of the church body.
