We are seeking a skilled and passionate Industrial Mechanic Instructor to teach the Industrial Mechanic Applied Certificate program. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the Industrial Mechanic/Millwright trade, along with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and foster an engaging learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver both theoretical and hands-on training in the Industrial
Mechanic/Millwright field.
Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance through assessments, projects, and exams.
Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment while maintaining high standards of professional practice.
Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to support the success of the program.
Incorporate technology, including learning management systems, to enhance the student experience.
Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to maintain the relevance of the program.
Participate in professional development and contribute to curriculum improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate in the Industrial
Mechanic/Millwright trade.
A minimum of two years of recent, relevant post-Journeyperson experience as a Mechanic/Millwright as a Mechanic/Millwright.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills.
Proficient with MS Office Suite, email, internet, and learning management systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment.
