Job Description: As a member of the Child & Youth Program, Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of children's services. This position will be assigned to the children's services team with responsibilities to the Children's Interagency Classroom (CIAC) and/or Children's Therapeutic Classroom (CTC). CTC is a community based shared initiative between mental health and the partnership for children and youth.*Additional responsibilities will be assigned and carried out at child and youth program (715 queen).
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- Five (5) years experience in Mental Health
- 5 years recent experience with children (0-12) with mental health issues
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training
- Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE)
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
