Description

The Client Support Assistant will assist with client intake, handle calls and emails, and provide admin support to the Registration and Intake Unit. Strong communication, organization, and cultural sensitivity are key to supporting newcomer women and families. The role ensures a positive client experience and connects them to services. Duties will be overseen by the Intake and on-site Managers.

Responsibilities
Greet clients and visitors warmly
Answer calls and emails, direct inquiries to the right staff
Handle office tasks like filing, data entry, and organizing client documents
Maintain records of client interactions
Help schedule appointments and follow-up activities
Assist Intake Manager with admin tasks and reports
Share information about RIWC services with clients
Keep community resource lists updated
Assist with additional tasks as needed, with guidance from the on-site Manager

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office admin, customer service, or related fields is a plus
Previous experience in front desk, customer service, or admin roles preferred
Experience with immigrant or refugee communities is a plus but not required
Strong communication skills in person and on the phone
Friendly, approachable, customer-service oriented
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive info
Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle (optional)
Fluency in English required; additional language skills is a plus
