Description

The Bridging to Employment Instructor Level 2 at RIWC will teach participants the skills needed to successfully transition into the workforce, focusing on soft skills and intermediate digital literacy for modern job environments.

Responsibilities:
Design and deliver workshops to enhance soft skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, while assessing progress and guiding improvements
Facilitate discussions, activities, and role-playing to build confidence, professional etiquette, and networking
Provide personalized coaching and feedback on interpersonal skills
Develop and teach digital skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and cybersecurity)
Offer hands-on support for using digital tools in modern workplaces
Help participants create resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles
Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback
Support goal setting and offer ongoing job application assistance
Provide one-on-one coaching for soft skills and digital literacy
Track participant progress and provide feedback
Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment
Collaborate with team members and external partners for comprehensive services
Attend meetings to assess training effectiveness and share best practices
Maintain records of attendance, progress, and feedback
Prepare reports on program outcomes for internal use and funding

Qualifications:
Experience teaching soft skills, digital literacy, or job readiness
Strong knowledge of digital tools (Microsoft Office, email, job boards) and digital safety
Experience working with diverse, marginalized populations
Knowledge of local labor market trends and job resources
Create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting growth
Build trusting relationships and guide participants to success
Identify and solve barriers to learning or employment
